The Kearsarge Community Band opens the 2013 summer series at the Mary Haddad bandstand on Sargent Common in New London this Friday, June 14 at 6:30. Here’s the expected musical lineup:

- Serenade (classical with a twist)
- Red’s White and Blue March (by Red Skelton. Yes, that Red Skelton.)
- Forgotten Dreams (flute interlude)
- Georgia On My Mind (jazz)
- Blue Tango (I suppose that would be a tango)
- Chicago (jazz classic)
- Nessun Dorma (classical)
- The King and I (show tune medley)
- Baby Elephant Walk (novelty)
- Just a Closer Walk with Thee (dixieland)
- King Cotton (march)
- Beautiful Blossoms (waltz)
- Fiddler on the Roof (show tune medley)
- They Can’t Take That Away from Me (big band)

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy a summer evening of music. (If it rains, the concert will be moved indoors to the Whipple Town Hall.)
