Fall Rehearsals Begin
After a three-week break, the musicians of the Kearsarge Community Band will reconvene on Tuesday, September 17 to start working on our music for the upcoming fall concerts. New members are welcome.

3rd Annual NH Festival of Bands
Massed Bands at the 2011 Festival The Kearsarge Community Band invites you to the Third Annual Festival of New Hampshire Community Bands, which will feature seven bands joining the KCB to present short concerts throughout the day starting at 10:00 am. Find out more »November Concert (“Children at Play”) **DATE CHANGE**
The November 17 concert will concentrate on music of, by and about children. We will be joined by the children of the Kearsarge Regional Elementary School at New London in several numbers including "Mah Na, Mah Na", "The Waltzing Cat", and "Do Re Mi" from the Sound of Music. Crystal Carr will play the "Tuba Rhapsody" by Clare Grundman. The featured number will be "Little Train in the Brazillian Countryside" by Hector Villa-Lobos.

March Madness Concert
Our fourth annual "March Madness" concert will feature toe-tapping marches from all over the world: England, Germany, Italy, Spain, Norway, Mexico, Poland, Russia, Latvia -- and of course a number of good old American marches.

Annual Spring Swing Concert
The KCB continues our tradition of featuring "swing band" music at our May concert, complete with vocals on several of the songs by guest soloist Kate Matterson. First Fall Rehearsal
After a short end-of-summer break, the band will resume its regular Tuesday rehearsals at the New London Outing Club Indoor Facility on Tuesday, September 9 at 7:00 pm.

Rail Trail Dedication
The KCB will join with the Hopkinton Town Band and the Upper Valley Community Band for a ceremony marking the completion of the final section of the rail trail that connects Concord to White River Junction, Vermont. (Here's a link to a newspaper article on the project.) The combined bands will play at 9:30 and again at 11:00, with various festivities and visits by dignitaries sandwiched between the music.

This one's all about the marches (with a few other genres tossed in for good measure). The concert will be held at the New London Outing Club's indoor facility on Cougar Court (a change of venue from what had been previously announced), with a 2:00 downbeat on Sunday, March 8.
