March Madness Concert

There is something enduring about march music, perhaps because it moves the foot as well as the heart. The Kearsarge Community Band announces its annual “March Madness” concert on Sunday afternoon, March 12 at 2:00 at the New London Outing Club’s indoor facility on Cougar Court. The program includes a half dozen marches of various kinds, along with music representing several very different genres to keep it interesting. With the recent retirement of the band’s long-time musical director, this performance is being conducted by a collaboration of seven different band members. A highlight of the afternoon will be the public introduction of our new director, who will officially pick up his baton at this time. Admission is free.
